Since 1990 Nicky Bendix has been working internationally in the field of music, stage, art and dance as a performer, composer, organizer, creative consultant, writer, teacher and sound designer..Aside from his original work and commissions, Nicky Bendix also writes and co-produces for other artists and ensembles. 

 

Up untill 2001 Nicky Bendix worked extensively as a jazz pianist, and in 1995 received the honorable award  “Jazz Musician of the Year” in Fünen, Denmark, at the young age of 25. The youngest person ever to receive that award.

"NanoArt is a new art discipline at the art-science-technology intersections.

It features nanolandscapes (molecular and atomic landscapes which are

natural structures of matter at molecular and atomic scales) and

nano sculptures (structures created by scientists and artists by manipulating

matter at molecular and atomic scales using chemical and physical processes). 

NanoArt is aimed to raise the public awareness of Nanotechnology and

its impact on our lives.

The classic play "Don Juan", performed on a beautiful old wooden

ship, with actors and musical ensemble performing on deck

and video projections in the sails.

The ship sailed from harbor to harbor around Funene, Denmark,

and the show was performed on the boat, with the audience

watching from dry land.

Commissioned by Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke,  “Action Aid Denmark”, 

To bring awareness to the sculpture and social happening "The Pillar of Shame",

created  by artist Jens Galschiøt. A pillar which was raised in several countries

around the world, where human rights had been violated. 

The 12 piece orchestra was comprised from musicians from African, Arabic,

Baltic and South American countries.
